I got the lean beef and traditional vegetables in the vegetable broth.
    It was all delicious.
I just wish the traditional vegetables came with boc choy.
    I would go back again.

Shabu Way is the best shabu restaurant in the Bay Area and I've been to them all.  I've been coming here with my family for the past 6 years and its one of our favorite restaurants.

The meat quality is far superior to the other restaurants and I usually order the Kobe or Prime Beef.  They have quite a selection of different types of broths that you can choose from.  I always order the plain seaweed broth because I like to be able to taste the flavor of the beef but my family will order the tonkatsu or miso.

Staff is very friendly and it's always a pleasure to have Yuki or Ryan serving my family with their excellent service.  Thank you Shabu Way and staff for the great food and service and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Surprised at the average reviews - the Kobe here was tender, marbled, delicious. Also got the lamb, which was good. Ordered 1/2 tonkotsu and miso. Unfortunately we had to ask for more soup base - it was tasteless at first, but it was delicious after we adjusted it to our liking.

Service was responsive - we got our meats fairly quickly after each order.

The AYCE will cost you a pretty penny, but given the meat quality, I'd happily come back.

I love Japanese style hot pot - hard to find these spots in SJ area.

Parking can get wild during lunch time and they pretty busy - but people dine very quickly! As for service, I've been coming here for years now and I've never found a reason to complain. The servers are very sweet and attentive!

Shabuway has a super simple menu - personally, I always go with the lamb + veggie broth. Don't hesitate on getting the veggie broth its light and very flavorful! Their tonkotsu broth is pretty tasty as well. The quality of meats here are prime from their niman lamb to their angus Kobe beef - all quality.

Surprised to only see 3 stars! Don't let yelp fool you, this is the spot.

We got the AMERICAN KOBE BEEF, PRIME ANGUS BEEF, KUROBUTA PORK, and PREMIUM LAMB. For the broth we got CURRY TONKOTSU, spicy, and MISO, medium spicy. The food was fantastic!!! Love the PEANUT & SWEET SOY DIPPING SAUCE. And the meat just melted in your mouth. Next time I'm getting the curry broth, extra spicy with pork and angus beef. To be honest, I couldn't really tell the difference between the angus and Kobe beef, and the lamb, although delicious, fell apart too much. The pork was the definite favorite out of all four! The steak... also a favorite. I liked having the contrast of both broths, but the curry just had such great, potent flavor. If I had to choose I'd go with the curry, but if I share again, I'm getting them both again!!
